Spectrum Innovation Hub

Radio-frequency spectrum is the medium for innovation in many of America’s high-tech industries and government services.  Whether it’s 5G wireless and WiFi, or communications with NASA space missions, the use of spectrum-dependent wireless equipment defines our advanced Information Age.

Looking ahead to 6G and new generations of WiFi (WiFi 7 and WiFi 8), as well as the proliferating constellations of non-geostationary satellites, the United States is poised to leverage its position as a world leader in cutting-edge technologies.

NTIA stands ready to help create the optimal environment for innovation and free up America’s entrepreneurs and engineers to create the life-saving, economy-boosting services of tomorrow.  This webpage will feature and focus on the private-sector projects, the public-private partnerships, and the academic programs that are bringing innovation into focus.  This Innovation Hub will magnify these early efforts, showcasing their potential to crystalize theories and grow them into enterprises.
