About Spectrum

Welcome to spectrum.gov, your single source for information and access to federal spectrum management tools and information. Spectrum.gov provides public information about training and workforce development programs, innovations in spectrum-driven technologies, recent government publications and research papers on spectrum-related topics, and updates on the implementation of the Working Families Tax Cut (WFTC) Act’s spectrum provisions.

For federal spectrum managers, spectrum.gov’s “tools” pull-down provides a passcode-protected portal to the databases and spectrum management tools needed to prepare frequency and certification requests and to comply with federal spectrum rules. Meanwhile, the resources tab offers access to a range of federal, national and international regulations, the U.S. Table of Allocations, and the NTIA Manual (also known as the “Redbook”).

For everyone interested in learning more about spectrum as the cornerstone of wireless services and networks, spectrum.gov offers an array of information, from training and workforce development programs to a compendium of federal uses in the key lower and mid-band ranges. Users will find two new webpages: The Spectrum Innovation Hub will focus on projects and research pushing the envelope on wireless services and capabilities, while the Spectrum NextGen Workforce Hub will spotlight efforts to boost education, at all levels from elementary through post-graduate, to ensure that a share of America’s best minds are attracted and empowered to seek spectrum-related careers.
